Your membership, in plain words.
- £10 today is your first month. It runs from opening day, 10 October, to 9 November.
- From 10 November your membership is £35 a month, taken automatically from the card you join with. We email you before the first £35 goes out.
- Cancel any time with one month's notice. Email [email protected] or write to Jack's Gym, 37 Lombard Street, Stourport-on-Severn DY13 8DX, with your name and the date you joined.
- You have the legal 14-day right to cancel from the day you join, for a full refund. Your statutory rights are not affected.
- If opening slips more than four weeks past 10 October, everyone is offered a full refund.
- No joining fee and no long contract. Buying online forms your membership agreement on the terms below straight away. A printed copy is there for you at the gym when it opens.
- Payment is taken by Stripe on a secure page. Jack's Gym does not receive your full card number or security code.
Membership terms and conditions
Effective from: 15 September 2026.
By purchasing a membership with Jack's Gym, you agree to these Membership Terms & Conditions.
1. Membership
Memberships are personal to the named member and cannot be transferred, shared or resold.
Membership provides access to Jack's Gym during the hours and under the access conditions applicable to the membership purchased.
Members must follow all reasonable gym rules, health and safety requirements and instructions given by Jack's Gym staff.
2. Membership payments
Membership fees are payable in advance in accordance with the membership plan selected at the time of joining.
Where a recurring monthly membership is selected, the membership will automatically renew each month unless cancelled in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
3. Cancellation and notice
Monthly memberships require one full calendar month's notice to cancel.
Cancellation requests must be submitted before the start of the next billing month to prevent the next month's membership charge.
Once a membership payment has been taken, that payment is generally non-refundable and the member will retain access for the period that has been paid for, subject to these Terms & Conditions. This does not affect your 14-day statutory cooling-off right (section 4) or the opening-delay refund set out in the plain-words terms above.
Example: if your membership renews on the 1st of each month and you request cancellation on 15 September, your membership will continue until the end of the applicable paid period and the cancellation will take effect at the end of the required notice period.

4. Statutory cancellation rights
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
Where a statutory cooling-off or cancellation right applies, including rights relating to contracts entered into online or at a distance, those rights will apply in addition to these Terms & Conditions.
5. Membership suspensions
Memberships cannot normally be paused or suspended unless Jack's Gym agrees to this in advance.
Any agreed suspension will be subject to the terms confirmed by Jack's Gym at the time.
6. Gym rules and conduct
Jack's Gym reserves the right to refuse access to or suspend a member where there is serious or repeated misconduct, abuse of staff or other members, unsafe behaviour, deliberate damage to equipment or property, theft, or serious breach of the gym rules.
Where appropriate, Jack's Gym may terminate a membership immediately for serious misconduct.
7. Health and safety
Members are responsible for ensuring that they are physically capable of participating in exercise.
Members should seek appropriate medical advice before exercising where they have any medical condition, injury or other concern that may affect their ability to exercise safely.
Members must use equipment responsibly and follow instructions provided by Jack's Gym.
8. Personal belongings
Members are responsible for their own personal belongings while using the gym.
Jack's Gym is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property except where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
9. Changes to membership terms
Jack's Gym may reasonably update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
Where a change materially affects an existing member's rights or obligations, reasonable notice will be provided.
10. Changes to membership prices
Membership prices will be clearly stated at the time of joining.
Where a recurring membership price is changed, members will be given reasonable advance notice of the new price before it takes effect and will have any applicable statutory rights.
11. Website and online purchases
By completing an online membership purchase, you confirm that the information provided is accurate and that you have read and agreed to these Membership Terms & Conditions.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions removes or limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be dealt with in accordance with the applicable laws and courts of England and Wales.
